As summer arrives and the landscape bursts into colour, June is the perfect time to reconnect with creativity and the beauty that surrounds us. This month I am delighted to share exciting opportunities to learn, create and celebrate local art inspired by the breathtaking scenery of the Sperrins.


June Online Art Class 🎨

The Landscapes of the Sperrins

This month's online art class focuses on capturing the beauty, atmosphere and rich colours of the Sperrin Mountains.

Together we will explore:

  • Acrylic painting techniques for creating dramatic skies and rolling landscapes

  • Expressive mark-making using ink

  • The use of gold leaf to add light, texture and a unique contemporary finish

  • Composition, colour mixing and building depth within a landscape.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, this class is designed to inspire creativity and help you develop new skills from the comfort of your own home.

It was a privilege to contribute to such a meaningful project celebrating Monsignor McCanny's remarkable 16 years of service to Limavady Parish and 40 years of dedicated priesthood.
