Welcome to September!
A Summer Of Creativity - Thank You
A huge thank you from Shauna McAteer Art Design Textiles.
As we come to the end of what has been a wonderful summer of creativity, I wanted to take a moment to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported my creative journey.
My summer exhibition was such a special event, and I am incredibly grateful to every single person who attended, purchased artwork, shared the event, spread the word, encouraged me, or took part in any way. Your support means so much to me and helps allow me to continue creating, teaching and bringing art and creativity to our local community.
A very special thank you to James McBride, who exhibited his wonderful work alongside mine. Thank you to Roe Valley Musicians for providing such fantastic music throughout the event and helping create such a wonderful atmostphere.
Thank you to Cafe Steinbeck for the lovely refreshments provided.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along and made the exhibition such a memorable celebration of art, music, creativity and community.
Here’s to many more creative adventures ahead!
Septembers Online Art Class 🎨
Limavady Townscape of our local Corner Bar and Market Yard Restaurant.
Townscape through mixed media.
This month we will be bringing our creativity closer to home with a townscape inspired by our very own corner bar in Limavady!
We will explore how to create characterful townscape painting using mixed media techniques, looking at ways to build atmosphere, texture, colour, and architectural details whilst developing your own individual style through experimentation.
Together we will explore:
Creating a townscape
Expressive mark-making using ink, acrylic paint, pencil
The use of gold leaf to add light, texture and a unique contemporary finish
Composition, colour mixing and building depth within a townscape
Building texture and layers
Adding architectural details
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, this class is designed to inspire creativity and help you develop new skills from the comfort of your own home.
